TRANSFORMATION
A journey to becoming: A Pelsung Reflection Pelsup Sailesh Bhandari, Cohort 1 Project: Yoering-Ma Is entrepreneurship just about building a business, or is it about building yourself? For me, this journey has been both personally and professionally transformative. When I first joined the Pelsung program, I saw it as a chance to explore ideas and challenge myself. Over time, it became much more than that. It changed the way I think, act, and lead. It taught me to take responsibility, stay resilient during uncertainty, and believe that even as young people, we can create meaningful impact in our communities. Building Yoering-Ma has been a big step in that direction. As a startup that’s only three months old, we’re still in a capital-intensive phase where every decision and every small bit of progress matters. There are definitely moments when things feel overwhelming. That’s why winning recognition at the DrukDen Startup Competition came at the perfect time. It validated our idea, boosted our motivation, and strengthened our commitment to creating real change in waste management and sustainable agriculture. The programs led by the Pelsung Secretariat, especially the investor readiness sessions and the DrukDen competition, were eye-opening. They pushed us to refine our vision, communicate our value more clearly, and think beyond just an idea towards building something scalable and impactful. Interacting with professionals, judges, and fellow entrepreneurs also helped me grow in confidence and clarity. What makes this journey even more meaningful is being part of Pelsung, an initiative inspired by His Majesty’s Golden Heart. It has given us, as youth, a strong sense of purpose and responsibility. As Pelsups, we feel heard, supported, and more capable of facing challenges that once felt out of reach. That support has made a real difference. This recognition isn’t just a milestone for Yoering-Ma. It is also a reminder of the responsibility we carry to keep going, to keep building, and to contribute in a meaningful way to our country. This is only the beginning, and I am committed to moving forward with even more purpose.
